Quartz
The attraction to a quartz countertop is the consistency in color, pattern
and durability of the product. Product colors are so consistent there is no need
to choose a slab.
Quartz countertops magnify the durability of granite by using 93–97% quartz
material in production. Because of the materials used; quartz products are often
considered or known as engineered granite.
Since an acrylic or epoxy binder is used in production; quartz products are
non-porous and do not need to be sealed.
After your cabinets are installed, a template must be made to ensure accurate
and efficient use of your slab. Typically, quartz is manufactured in 2 cm and
3cm thicknesses. 2 cm product is most often used for vanity tops. For kitchens,
a second layer around the edges is added to create a 4 cm edge. 3 cm slabs do
not require an edge build up.
For the strongest, most resilient and consistent color, choose quartz.
